Rajeshri (Raju) Shah Patel is an immigration attorney at Weinstock Immigration Lawyers managing the business immigration practice. Raju specializes in employment-based immigration as well as family-based immigration. She represents employers all over the country and has represented individuals throughout the world with their immigration process. Raju has expertise in all employment-based visas, including the non-immigrant such as H-1B, L-1 and E visas, as well as the immigrant visas including EB-1, EB-2, National Interest Waivers, and EB-3, including PERM labor certifications, and has successfully represented numerous companies, universities, hospitals, researchers, physicians, IT professionals and other professionals in their applications for temporary visas, immigrant visas and green cards. She has been practicing immigration law exclusively for 10 years.
Raju has successfully worked with both small and large companies in meeting their business needs and making sure they are able to keep their important employees legally in the U.S. or bring them from abroad. She consults with both the company and the employee to determine the best, most efficient process that will accomplish everyone’s goals. She has also filed numerous mandamus law suits in federal courts in order to help her clients obtain approvals for their delayed applications.
In addition to her broad employment-based immigration practice, Raju has a strong background in helping individuals with family-based immigration, petitioning visas for spouses, children and other family members, and has been extremely successful in overcoming difficult obstacles to have their petitions approved and to keep families united. Raju has also represented numerous victims of domestic abuse pro bono in order for them to get green cards.
Prior to working in immigration, Raju worked as a labor and employment attorney for the U.S. government, Chief Counsel’s Office at the Savannah River Site, U.S. Department of Energy.
Raju is admitted to practice law in both Georgia and North Carolina. Raju is also admitted to practice in the 11th circuit and in Federal Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
