Immigration Attorneys for Families & Individuals

Everyone has an immigration story that starts somewhere. For some, that story started hundreds of years ago, and for others, it could be today. At Weinstock Immigration Lawyers, our passion is for people and we set out to keep families together by helping them navigate the strict immigration laws here in the United States.

Our individual and family-based immigration attorneys are among some of the best visa attorneys in the nation and have received numerous accolades for their attention to detail and high success rate.

No one’s story is the same, but the journey to gain lawful immigration status or U.S. citizenship is one our immigration attorneys have taken more times than we can count. We routinely help individuals and family sponsors secure a workable plan utilizing our extensive knowledge of the immigration system. Utilizing everything from our K-1 visa lawyers for your loved ones to our naturalization attorneys, DACA lawyers, or adjustment of status attorneys, our visa attorneys know the ins and outs of the immigration system. After all, we too went through it!

Who Is Eligible For Individual Or Family Based Immigration?

Navigating the U.S. immigration maze is more complex than ever. Family members who are eligible for family-based immigration depend on what relationship they have with a United States citizen or a lawful permanent resident. Spouses and children of U.S. citizens and permanent residents qualify, as well as parents, siblings and unmarried children of U.S. citizens. Your status and whether your relative is a U.S. citizen or permanent resident dictates what options you have available, for what type of petition, and how long it would take.

The United States Congress has established a worldwide limit of 480,000 family-based visas that can be issued each fiscal year. There is no limitation on the number of visas that may be issued to immediate relatives, who are spouses, parents and children under 21 of U.S. citizens. All the other immigrants have to fall under the cap with maximum numbers allotted to each preference category: spouses and minor children of permanent residents, unmarried children of permanent residents, adult children of U.S. citizens, married children of U.S. citizens and siblings of U.S. citizens. There is also a per-country limit to family immigration.

Many of our clients have a unique past, misunderstood family situation, or have been told “no” by others either from people within the U.S. immigration system or immigration attorneys. There are a lot of agencies to navigate depending on your particular immigration situation, including United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the United States State Department (DOS), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), which includes U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Our immigration attorneys know these agencies inside and out because we have decades of successful experience working alongside them.

Partnering with the Visa Pros – Weinstock Immigration Lawyers, can help you reduce your chances for error because we understand and have extensive firsthand knowledge of U.S. immigration processes. Working with a family or personal immigration attorney greatly reduces your chances of delay in an already lengthy system of checks and balances.
